The short version. Random AI Prompt is a free, open-source tool provided “as is.” You bring your own API keys and are responsible for your provider accounts, any costs they charge, and what you generate. You must be 18 or older. Don’t use it to do anything illegal.

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using Random AI Prompt (“the Service”). The Service is a free, open-source AI image-prompt generator created by 1fairyfox, available as a website (at prompt.fairyfox.io), as a desktop application, as a command-line tool (“prompt”), and planned for a future mobile/Android version. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The desktop application can be configured to generate adult (NSFW) content; by using the Service you represent that you are an adult in your jurisdiction.

Open-source license

Random AI Prompt is open-source software released under the Apache License 2.0. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the source code are governed by that license, available in the project’s GitHub repository. These Terms govern your use of the Service as offered to you; they do not limit your rights under the open-source license.

Bring your own API keys

The Service does not include AI generation capacity of its own. To generate images or text, you supply your own API keys for third-party AI providers (or point the Service at your own local software). You are solely responsible for:

obtaining and securing your own provider accounts and API keys;
any fees, charges, usage limits, or billing imposed by those providers;
complying with each provider’s terms of service and acceptable-use policies.

We do not receive, set, or control provider pricing, and we are not a party to your relationship with any provider.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create, request, or distribute content that is unlawful, or to otherwise violate any applicable law or any third-party provider’s rules. In particular, you must not use the Service to generate or attempt to generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors, content that harasses or threatens others, or content that infringes others’ rights. You are responsible for the prompts you create and the content you generate, and for how you use that content.

Your content

We do not claim ownership of your prompts or of anything you generate, and — as explained in our Privacy Policy — we do not store them. Rights in AI-generated output, and any restrictions on it, are determined by the provider you use and by applicable law.

Third-party services and links

The Service relies on, and may link to, third-party services (AI providers, hosting, and others) that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and privacy policy.

“As is” — no warranty

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any prompt or generated output will meet your expectations or be fit for any particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided to you free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will 1fairyfox or any contributor be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or provider costs, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to USD 100 or the amount you paid us for the Service (which is zero), whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1fairyfox and the project’s contributors from any claims or demands arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.

Availability and termination

The Service is offered on a best-effort basis and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the hosted website (or any feature) at any time. Because the Service is open-source, you can continue to run your own copy regardless. We may stop providing the hosted Service to you if you breach these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
