Cookies Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
The short version. Random AI Prompt does not use cookies — none at all, and no tracking. It saves your settings in your browser’s local storage so the app remembers your preferences. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
This Cookies Policy explains how Random AI Prompt (“the Service”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It applies to the website at prompt.fairyfox.io and to the desktop, command-line (“prompt”), and (future) mobile versions of the app.
We do not use cookies
The Service sets no cookies. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising or remarketing cookies, no third-party tracking cookies, and no “essential” session cookies. Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner to click through.
What we use instead: local storage
To remember your preferences, the web version uses your browser’s local
storage (entries prefixed with rap.store.). This is similar to a cookie in
that it is saved in your browser, but unlike a cookie it is never automatically sent to any
server — it simply lets the app reload your settings on your next visit. We use it to
store things like your settings, presets, prompt building blocks, and any API keys you enter. The
desktop app and the command-line tool store the equivalent information in local files on your
computer.
This information stays on your device. We never receive it. For more on how this works, see our Privacy Policy.
Third-party requests
The Service serves its own fonts and does not load them from Google Fonts or any other third-party font service, so no font-related request leaves to a third party. When you generate something, your request goes to the AI provider you chose; any cookies or storage used by a provider’s own website are governed by that provider, not by us.
Managing local storage
You can clear the data the Service stores at any time:
- Web: clear site data / local storage for the Service in your browser’s settings. Your browser’s help pages explain how (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge). Note that clearing it also removes any API keys you saved.
- Desktop: delete the app’s local data files or uninstall the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we ever introduce cookies or analytics, we will update this page first and obtain consent where the law requires it.
